Sylvia atricapilla

An occasional summer visitor, usually sighted as a pair (male/female) foraging through the trees. The sightings in November / December 2020 are probably migrants from the continent, as opposed to the summer migrants from Africa. In 2022 during a very mild winter they were seen eating the buds of the cherry plum tree on the last day of January.
