Butterflies and moths: Depressuliids 

Agonopterix arenella

Notes

Moth ca. 10 mm in length; body elongate-ovate; flattened at rest with one forewing strongly overlapping the other; wings a pale brown speckled and with a large dark blotch on each above which are two black dots; rear of wings with pleats and a row of small black dots.

Sightings by month

30th April, 2022: 1 specimen day flying and resting on Yew hedge. 6th May, 2023 attracted to window light; caught in light trap 20th May, 2023.
