Blastobasis adustella

Notes

A small moth that rests with its wings folded against the body. There is a prominent white ruff behind the head and an inverted white "V" posterior to this. The wings are irregularly mottled light and dark brown. Found in the morning resting in the greenhouse, 26th June 2022. In light trap 27th July, 2023: 3 individuals; 9th August, 2023, 3 individuals; 26th August, 2023, 1 individual; 5th September, 2023, 2 specimens. Also attracted to porch light. One specimen in light trap 8th October, 2023.
