Night-flying moth with very variable wing patterning. Usually with dark anterior and posterior separated by a broad orange or pale band, but can be almost entirely dark.
Captured in light trap 20th August, 2022. Came to lit window 10th Sept. Caught in light trap 11th June, 2023 1 specimen. Attracted to trap light 5th September, 2023, 2 specimens. Caught in light trap 25th May, 2024 (3). In greenhouse 13th August, 2024 (1). In moth trap 15th September, 2024 (1). Attracted to porch light 29th September, 2024 (1). Attracted to lit window 12th May, (1); caught in light trap 30th May (1), 2025. One worn specimen attracted to light trap 12th June, 2025. Fresh specimen in moth light trap 12th August (1), and 24th August (1), 9th September (3), 2025.
