Diamond-back moth

Plutella xylostella

Diagnostic features

Small moth (ca. 12 mm) with narrow body and wings folded vertically, and with slight crest at rear. Dorsal zone white, sides of wing a dark brown with a smooth-edged wavey boundary. Captured in light trap 10th June and 24th June, 2023; one specimen each time. In vegetable garden 1st July, 2023. In wildflower meadow during the day 18th, 24th and 25th May, 2024.
