Butterflies and moths
Small night-flying moth less than 1 cm long with distinctive two tone brown patterning with white wedge half-way down leading edge. Captured in light trap 8th July, 2022; one specimen. Seen in garden 25th June, 8th July, and 5th August, 2023. In light trap 9th August, 2023, 3 worn individuals. Seen on kitchen window 11th October, 2023. Several around box hedge 22nd June, 2024. In moth light trap 20th July, (1) and 29th July (2), 2024. Caught in light trap 20th June, 2025. In garden 6th and 9th July, 2025. In moth trap 17th July, (1) and 12th August (1), 2025.
