Night-flying noctuid moth with dark wings bearing prominent and charateristic shuttle-cock shaped white oval. Pale shoulder hair. Males pale in colour, females darker. For caterpillar see here.
Female found in porch attracted to light 17th August 2022; caught in light trap 20th August, 2022; caught in light trap 13th May (2 specimens), 22nd May (2 specimens), 5th June (1 specimen), 27th July (1 specimen), 9th August (3), 26th August (1), 2023; 5th September, 2023 (1).
