Butterflies and moths: Noctuidae 

Least yellow underwing

Noctua interjecta

Notes

Small night-flying noctuid moth with brown forewings with transverse dark lines and a black spot. Kidney marks not evident. Underwings orange-yellow. Food plant common mallow and grasses.

Sightings by month

Found in greenhouse resting during the day 20th July: one individual; caught in light trap 2nd August, 2022, 1 individual; 20th August 4 individuals.
