Plants and animals of Pointfield

Hybrid crocuses growing from bulb. C. 'snow bunting' has white petals with a yellow inner core and vertical green stripes towards the base on the outside of the petals. It is the earliest to appear in early February. C. blue pearl is white with faint veining, and C. crysanthus var. fuscotinctus has strong yellow petals with red stripes on their outside; its leaves are a dark green. Both appear in mid to late February.
