Fungi
Large fungus up to 10 cm diameter. Cap dry, off-white to brown, sometimes flaking; not staining yellow or red noticeably. Gills free, with pinkish tinge when fresh, turning darker brown. Stalk solid, thick, smooth with prominent ring widening towards base.
In grass in more woodland regions of the garden. At bottom of garden near the yew; also at front beneath Tree hydrangea. Grows in clusters.
