Appearance

Solitary bright yellow-orange, unbranched fairy club arising from mossy grass; 2-3 cm in length, widening and becoming flattened distally; tip pointed. Spores almond-shaped, more or less smooth-walled and with an off-centre apiculus; 5.6-6.9 x 3.0-3.4 um, mean = 6.2 x 3.2, N = 20; Qav = 1.94. Basidia elongate with 2-4 prongs.

Habitat

Growing in in the waxcap meadow October, 2023.
