Tall inkcap with bullet-shaped to bell-shaped cap that is white and covered with shaggy, numerous, brown-tipped scales; edges of cap dissolve and blacken. Gills black, more or less free; deliquescing and dissolving. Stem long, white, fibrillose and with a bulbous base.
Growing at side of riverside path about 100 m East of Pointfield.
