Fungi
Larger waxcap species up to 5-6 cm; initially bell-shaped but becoming flat or concave with raised rim and domed centre; orange when developing becoming somewhat pinker in colour with paler rim when fully developed; surface waxy but dry. Gills stout, pale cream, decurrent, with butressing on either side. Stem stout and white or cream in colour; smooth; dry.
Spore print white. Spores rotund and pip-like with smooth surface and no germ pore; 5.0-5.9 x 3.9-4.3 um (mean =- 5.5 x 4.1 um, n = 15).
