Weakly projecting, encrusting polypore fungus, with white pored surface and rusty orange cap and back. Spores small and elongate with central oil droplet; 5.6-6.5 x 1.9-2.3 um (mean = 6.0 x 2.1 um, N = 20); Qav = 2.9.
Growing at ground level on a softwood stake in the vegetable garden.
