Fungi
White encrusting polypore with bodies up to 6 cm in length encrusting woody debris floor; rather soft; surface labyrinthine rather than regular close-packed pores, so that resultant meshwork is rather variable in appearance; margin fringed with fine white hyphal threads; tubes up to 3 mm depth. Spores hyaline and not stained by Metzer's; ellipsoidal and smooth-walled, often with a large circular oil inclusion; apiculus small and no germ pore; 4.7-7.4x 3.2-4.0 um , mean 5.1 x 3.5 um, N = 13; Q = 1.6. No cystidia.
Growing on needle debris of Lawson Cypress and other woody debris at bottom of garden.
