Fungi
Small mushroom, reaching 32 mm in diameter when fully open. Cap a pale orange-brown but drying to off-white with a tan centre; rather flat in profile with an irregular margin and sometimes even slightly concave; surface silky when wet. Gills pale yellow to white, adnexe with a small downward tooth at stem; rather brittle and fragile with frayed gill-edges. Stem tall and slender; 45 mm x 3.2 mm; tan to straw-coloured; hollow and very robust, breaking into longitudinal strips rather than breaking when handled.
Spore print white. Spores ellipsoidal and very small; size 4.5-5.5 x 2.8-3.8 um (mean = 5.0 x 3.0 um; n = 12); smooth-walled and amyloid. Cheilocystidea rather irregular in form, bulbous and lobed; pleurocystidea absent.
