Plants and animals of Pointfield

Huge fan-shaped bracket up to 25 cm in width, forming cluster near base of cut leaf beech up to 35 cm across. Upper surface with wide tan coloured to cream banding; margin thick. Lower surface white; perforate. Spore print white. Basidia 4-spored; spores hyaline, subcircular and c. 5 um in diameter. 

Growing from roots of Cut leaf beech tree and appearing ca. 1 m from trunk in same position in late July early August, 2018 and 2022.
