Appearance

Small fungus ca. 1 cm diameter. Cap campanulate, creamy-fawn in colour with flat-topped to slightly umbonate centre and strongly radiate margin. Gills adnate to decurrent, flesh-coloured; very widely spaced (ca. 16-18 primary gills in total). Stalk slender, hollow, pale olive yellow, smooth. Spore print white. Spores almond-shaped, smooth, amyloid, with small apendiculus; 7.2-8.5 x 4.0-4.8 um (mean = 7.6 x 4.4 um N = 20); Qav = 1.8. Possible cheilocystidia small, rounded, with many short stubby fingers. No other Mycena has decurrant gills and spores of this size.

Habitat

Waxcap meadow. Small cluster seen early November, 2025.
