Mycena citrinomarginata


Appearance

Small pale Mycena ca. 1 cm diameter. Cap campanulate, creamy to a very pale pink in colour with fine radial banding. Gills emarginate, making only a narrow contact with the stem, pure white in colour. Stalk slender (1.0-1.5 mm in diameter, pale grey, smooth, without hairs. Spore print white. Spores ovoid, slightly more pointed at one end; 7.8-9.7 x 4.1-5.2 µm (mean = 8.6 x 4.7 µm, N = 20); Qav = 1.8. Cheilocystidia lageniform with short neck and wide body. Pleurocystidia not seen.

Habitat

grassy slope near apple trees.
