Fungi



Snow-white to pale brown fungus up to 5 cm in diameter. Cap smoothly domed, with slimy, glossy surface. Gills adnate, white in colour, unbranched. Stalk white with collar ring and bulbous base that roots into wood. Spore print white. Spores large, spherical and smooth with apendiculus; 13.8-15.0 x 11.8-12.8 um (mean = 14.3 x 12.2 um N = 7); Qav.= 1.2. Cheilocystidia sparse; large and clavate.
Growing on fallen branch of cut-leaf beech in 2021. Growing on old log October, 2024.
