Fungi
Irregular oval, bowl-shaped cup fungus up to 5 cm in diameter and 2 cm in height growing from soil. Inner surface smooth, fawn brown in colour; outer surface drying a little lighter and flesh-coloured, very finely granular. Lip with dark 'scales'. Wall lacks banding in cross-section and no yellow secretion emitted from cuts/bruised areas. Base with stubby stipe sometimes present. Spores smooth and elipsoidal with only rare guttales (lipid inclusions) seen. Eight to a tube and averaging 15 um x 9 um in diameter. Paraphyses simple and without lobes.
