Appearance

Clump-forming soft, floppy coral, pure white in colour with tips discolouring brown; rather stubby and sparsely branched from a thick stem; ending in numerous short projections; branches generally flattened rather than cylindrical. Spore print white. Spores small and almost circular, covered with spines and with prominent apiculus; 3.7-4.2 x 3.3-4.0 um, mean 3.9 x 3.6 um, N = 20; Q = 1.0-1.2, Qav = 1.1.

Habitat

Growing in grass path beside wildflower border and under Lord Langborn apple tree.
