Appearance

Cap conical to domal and very slimy; colour turqoise; edge with white remnants of veil; 26-40 mm diameter; drying to an ochre-verdigris colour. Gills dense, emarginate, grey-brown coloured; gill edges not white. Stem dry, with a distinct turquoise tinge; distinct ring may or may not be present, sometimes coloured red by fallen spores; the lower part of the stem covered in white flecks. Spore print dark purple-black. Spores ovate with no germ pore and thick walls; 7.3-8.8 x 4.1-4.9 um (mean = 8.1 x 4.6 um; N = 20); Qav. = 1.8. Cheilochrysocystidia abundant with nipple-like point; pleurochrysocystidia present, scattered. Spore print mid-brown. No distinct aroma.

Habitat

In grass near the hazel tree at the bottom of the garden in 2015. Under Golden Spires apple tree, Oct. 2022-25. Under walnut tree October, 2023. In wild flower border September, 2024 and 2025.
