Fungi
Cap bun-shaped; olive grey in colour with a finely cracked surface revealing white flesh. Lower surface sulphur yellow with pores. Stalk pale, slightly red near top but otherwise uncoloured. No microscopic confirmation of spore shape hence uncertain ID. Usually attacked by fungus.
Growing in soil underneath the cut-leaf beech (Fagus sylvestris laciniata).
