Clusters of small (2-6 mm) cylindrical or flattened projections from rotting hardwood stumps and logs. Black with white ends. No more than 2 cm in height.
Growing from rotting Sycamore stump and wood debris on ground beneath oak. Also on rotten stump by vegetable garden
