Flat bodied black (anterior) to amber-brown (posterior) aphids with rows of small marginal tubercles along its back. Legs yellow near body becoming black distally. Antenae slightly shorter than body; siphunculi well developed. Present on knapweed (Centaurea nigra) in the wildflower border.
