Trichoptera: Caddisflies

Leptocerid caddisfly

Ceraclea sp. ?dissimilis


Notes

Large (ca. 1 cm) caddisfly with very long banded antennae and huge jointed palps held out either side of the head. Wings brown with pale yellow spot at tornus. Legs not spiney. Genital dissection required to confirm species identity. Attracted to white sheet and Moth lamp 5th July, 2024.
