Small (3-4 mm) dipteran with large head and hemispherical red eyes; antennae very short. Body black and shiny, abdomen slightl;y swollen to rear. Wings with sparse veins and with dark streak near base. Front legs paler than mid and hind legs. Waves its wings as it walks around. Seen on nettle leaf.
