Plants and animals of Pointfield

Large ichneumon wasp (ca. 12 mm). Antennae black with broad white band mid-length, head and thorax; Scutellum white; abdomen black with first two segments orange and with three white dorsal spots at posterior (female only). Femurs black; mid and posterior tibia with orange upper part and black distal part. In wild flower border 16th September, 2025. Species identification tentative - but colour banding of legs,specifically the dark tarsii of mid and rear legs suggests suspiciosus rather than the very similar stramentarius.
