Coleoptera: ground beetles
Small, bronze-coloured ground beetle with large bulging eyes. Elytra with second elytra interval wider than the next three combined and with obvious large pit on the 4th elytra interval. Head with 6 longitudinal ridges/grooves between eyes. Legs and antennae all black. Found in soil of fruit cage in spring, and in gravel drive in October.
