Ferns
Rootstock stout, giving rise to a long fronds whose rachis has light brown scales in its lower part. Pinnae long, those at base only significantly shorter than those half way up. Pinnae long with pinnules decreasing gradually in size towards tip; unstalked and merged at their base, and round-tipped and very finely serrated distally. Spores as two rows; circular. Largely dies back over winter.
At various uncultivated corners around the garden and also growing out of retaining wall outside kitchen.
