Lichen

Hypogymnia physodes 


Appearance

Foliose, grey-green lichen with rather thick, hollow branches with lobes that resemble wrist bones or fingers. The lobes are dark brown on the underside and pale soralia develop on the split edges of the terminal lobes.

Habitat

Growing on thinner branches of apple tree (Liddle's seedling).
