Spiders
Medium-sized, up to ca. 1 cm in length. Brown, with distinctive yellow patterning enclosing a black central patch on abdomen. Carapace broad without patterning. Eight eyes in two rows. Chelicerae large and obvious. Legs banded pale brown yellow. Distinguishing between these two species (fenestralis and similis) requires microsopic examination of genitalia.
Individuals commonly found in both greenhouses (preferred habitat of similis).
