Spiders
Small (4-5 mm) eight-eyed, web-spinning spider with strong green abdomen with red mark under abdomen just behind spinneret. Carapace a yellow-brown and glossy. Legs pale yellow-green with prominent black spines; not annulated, with dark red tips. Microscopic examination of genitalia required to distinguish between the two very similar species cucurbitina and opisthographa.
In the meadow and amongst foliage of smoke bush.
