Plants and animals of Pointfield

Small spider with black thorax and chelicerae characteristically patterned globular abdomen; legs pale. Chelicera large and black. Dark appearance ofcarapace suggests P. degeeri rather than P. clerki but microscopic examination of genitalia is required to confidently separate these two species.

Found in wildflower border in early September.
