Spiders

Very elongate spider around 1 cm in length with 3rd pair of legs very short in comparison to others; anterior pair of legs the longest. Eight eyes. Abdomen mottled with a distinct finely mottled midline band and lateral wavy pale line. Legs spotted. Underside all black. Species determination not possible with certainty but darker and less silvery green abdomen and black sternum suggests montana.
Found on french window, in wild flower border on knapweed, and on nettles behind pond rockery in May and early June.
