Small (50 cm diameter) evergreen rhododendron with rosettes of small, ovate leaves and open bell-shaped crimson flowers, one per branch and with 5 stamen. There are two varieties, one with slight larger dark green leaves, the other with smaller bronze-coloured leaves.
