Honeysuckle

Lonicera periclymenum

Appearance

Climbing shrub with ovate leaves about two inches long, appearing on the stems in pairs. Flower buds are pink; flowers open with ivory interiors and purple exteriors. Two-lipped flowers, each two inches long, in whorled terminal spikes that give way to glossy, red berries. Only the pale yellow-flowered forms with some pink tinge are native.

Habitat

Growing up the trellis under the oak tree and climbing over the fallen gean tree.
