Trees and shrubs
Large evergreen bush ca. 1 m height and spread. Leaves large with minute perforations when viewed with a hand-lens. Stems red and with 2 ridges. Flowers yellow with slightly spiraled and backward directed petals. Stamens longer than petals and yellow-tipped. Berries turn reddish before turning black.
Several established bushes have self-seeded in the kitchen courtyard.
