Appearance

Small naturalised perennial with stellate blue flowers with a whitish centre; flower stalk gives rise to four or more flowers. Leaves grass-like; typically with edges rolled towards each other. Not a native British wild flower, but has become naturalised in the wild parts of the garden in great numbers.

Habitat

Appears under the cutleaf beech in uncultivated ground from late March through to early April.
