Hypericum perforatum


Appearance

Small, erect, hairless plant. Stem reddish-green with two opposite ridges. Leaves ovate, paired and opposite; unstalked, arising direct from stem; with large translucent spots. Flower five-petaled with petals widely separated and twisted towards tip.

Habitat

In borders and semi-cultivated areas including the vegetable garden.
