Appearance

Small semirecumbent annual with red stalks bearing widely spaced paired small ovate leaves that are hairy and have a central vein. Flowers arranged at end of stalk with several buds but not forming a tight cluster; about 8 mm in diameter and opening fully; 5-petaled with each petal notched in outer part; petals as long as sepals.

Habitat

Growing in lawn in front of grass border.
