Appearance

Annual with partially sprawling and partially upright stalk. Leaves green, oval-triangular and toothed; with fine hairs; stalked; alternate. Flowers 8-10 mm in diameter; single on stalk arising from leaf base; pale blue with darker blue veining and white core; four petals, the lowest being smaller and much paler. Seed heads paired - pointing away from each other. Flowers much larger than in other two species found here.

Habitat

Common in untended areas of vegetable garden and flower borders.
