Dipsacus fullonum


Appearance

Tall upright biannual, reaching 1.5 m tall. Leaves arranged as a basal rosette; lanceolate; thorned. Long prickly stalk giving rise to characteristic teasel flowerhead.    

Habitat

In open woodland grassy areas at the bottom of the garden.
