Epilobium obscurum


Appearance

Short, upright annual with soft, hairless, ovate leaves that are paired and lie approximately at right-angles to the stem; leaves without stem. Stem and leaves green and stem with two or three fine vertical ridges. Flowers cruciform with 4 petals that are lobed distally; pink; style simple and club-shaped. Seed pods long with well-developed stalk.

Habitat

Common in waste ground everywhere.
